Inspiration for Black and Gold Brand

Dia De Los Muertos – A prominent festival celebrated across latin America to honor and remember the lives of loved ones. People celebrate the festival by making sweets, face painting and dressing up as skeletons and undead beings, honoring the dead.

Día de los Muertos festivities unfold over two days in an explosion of color and life-affirming joy. Sure, the theme is death, but the point is to demonstrate love and respect for deceased family members. In towns and cities throughout Latin America, especially Mexico, revelers doing funky makeup and costumes, hold parades and parties, sing and dance, and make offerings to lost loved ones.

Black and Gold started it’s journey as an inspiration from this culture and concept. The Mexican sugar skulls became a symbol of energy, passion and exuberance for both our founders and ultimately became our logo.

We are eternally grateful to this culture and concept which inspired us to be the clothing brand we are today. We present a special assortment of our products and accessories in a way to celebrate the festival with you all.
